Bring non-perishable food to the East Haven Rink and make a difference!

Our Hockey Helps the Hungry Food Drive kicks off for the FOURTH Year.  From January 15 - February 15, drop off non-perishables for the Connecticut Food Bank to the East Haven Rink (bin is located in the lobby).

According to the CT Food Bank, donations significantly decrease after the holidays.  Let's work together to make a difference in our community! Click non-perishable donation recommendations.

Shark or non-Shark, we are looking for the hockey community to join together to help take a bite out of hunger.  The program was started by two of our U14 Black players, Jenna Guglielmi and Sophia Rodham, four years ago, and has become our organization-wide service program.

Over the years, Sharks Coaches and Team Managers have played a critical part in the process and campaign's success as we've been able to involve the hockey community by dedicating games to the cause and asking our families and opponents to bring donations.  As a result, our contributions have grown from 500 lbs. the first year to over 1,000 lbs. this past year!  Let's break our record!

Families, friends, and neighbors are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food at our primary collection site at the East Haven Rink from now through February 15. Food will be stored until the drive is over and then brought to the Connecticut Food Bank on  February 18th. All Sharks are welcome to attend the drop-off and see the operation.
