16/19 Team Updates, Senior Recognition, January CT Whale, QU and Yale Women's Hockey Schedule, Pictures and More...

Hello 2023!
Let's take a moment and appreciate all the great game of hockey offers our Sharks as we welcome the New Year! Our players work hard to advance their skills through team practices, dedicated IPH and Pro Crease sessions, and competitive game and tournament schedules. Through this process, players gain valuable skills, including leadership, teamwork, accountability, humility, sportsmanship, and respect.

Although some measure success by the season record or scoreboard, we refuse to. That's because camaraderie and life-long connections are the biggest gifts of hockey, measured by the genuine smiles on our players' faces as they enter the rink and head into the locker rooms to be with their teammates.

Just play, have fun, and enjoy the game.

We're proud to say that the Shoreline Sharks Association is the largest girls' program in the state, with close to 300 registered participants, a range of competitive options with 13 teams, and participation in three leagues (CGHL, CHC, and NEGHL).

Our families continue to remind us, by word and participation, that we are different from other hockey organizations. Our distinctly positive and inclusive culture, steadfast focus on player development, strong mission and value system, and commitment to growing the game and recruiting female coaches sets us apart. Our programming approach is a big part of that differentiation, which is centered on delivering more "hockey" for the dollar than other associations.

As we close out the year, we thank our players, parents, coaches, volunteers, and board members for their shared passion and commitment to the sport of girls' hockey and the Shoreline Sharks. Without your support, we would not be where we are today. We are excited for the balance of the season; may it be filled with fun, friendship, accomplishment, and lasting memories.

Happy New Year!
