We're proud of our U19 Tier II goalie, Ginny Curello, who plays for the Cheshire boy's high school team.
In a weekend game against Sheehan, Ginny was instrumental in the 3-2 Cheshire win with clutch saves in penalty-kill situations and a blocked breakaway from the talented sophomore Sheehan player, Max Festa, who has already scored 100 goals in his two-season high school career.
"That was a great save," Anthony Giusto said. "He is probably the best player in the state, and she made a game-changing play on him."
In December, Ginny made history as the first girl to start a game for the CHS boy's ice hockey team.
